The portrait/urban landscape/journey painting is done.  I am very pleased with the bold sky colours and reflected colour in the churned up snow, and the drama of the trees in the background and figure in the foreground.  Because it has so much personal meaning, this painting is not for sale, but I will use this palette in future paintings – the blue/orange and purple/yellows are really striking!

    I like the metaphor of moving from darkness to light or through fire to peace depending depending on if you are reading the picture from left to right or right to left! It works either way. The colours are wonderful and the reflections in the snow are terrific – you do great reflection…
