Painting Art Walk

Took me a while to finish this one!  It seems that right after the Whyte Avenue Art Walk 2013 was over, the “real world” decided to collide with my artistic aspirations and left me little time for painting or finishing up.  After leaving this aside until I just HAD to get back to it last night, I decided to make one of the gentlemen on the bench a famous painter from the past (based on a couple of his self-portraits).  Can you guess who it is?  🙂

This is my point of view from my location in front of The Pawn Shop – my first Whyte Avenue Art Walk.

I love the softness of this painting. everything is slightly blurred lending it an air of “long ago”
