Still having fun with my Micron Pigma drawing pens, making inky mistakes and working around them.
This is my humble tribute to Édouard Manet’s infamous painting, ‘Olympia‘, starring his (arguably) favourite model, Victorine Meruent. I didn’t want to copy ‘Olympia’ but reference it by reversing Victorine’s original pose as well as the temperature of the painting. Manet’s Olympia is a warm body reclining on cool bedding; mine is a cool Olympia reclining on warm sunflowers!
