Apples and Oranges (after Cezanne)

Something a little different!  These started with shadows cast by our lattice-topped fence onto my watercolour paper one day a few weeks ago. It looked so cool,  I traced the outlines of the cast shadows as fast as I could while the sun moved.  I figured I’d do something with the two pieces of paper later.

These two are “after” Cezanne’s Apples and Oranges, two halves of his painting, done in ink and watercolour.  Glazing the lattice-shadowed and sunlit areas gives an interesting effect.
