“Sunshine on the Ave” Lorraine Young, soft pastels on sanded pastel paper, 6 ½” x 10″ SOLD

I finally finished the painting I began at the 2014 Whyte Avenue Art Walk just over 3 weeks ago!  I was able to use a few of the photos I took while I manned my booth in front of the Commercial Hotel and combined elements from three different pictures to get this composition.  I’m quite happy with the way it turned out and hope to have some prints made and ready for the Strathearn Art Walk on Sept. 13.  Hope to see you there!

This is a lovely sun dappled piece of impressionist-inspired art.
