Newcastle Jam paintings: Willy James and Crawdad Cantera

We just got back from a well-deserverd week-long break at the end of a gruelling month of October and two years without a vacation!  I didn’t have a chance to post the two commissioned paintings –  finished just in time for delivery!  Here are “Sunday Jammin’ – Newcastle 1”, featuring “Crawdad” Cantera and “Sunday Jammin’ – Newcastle 2” featuring Willy James.   They were delivered to Joey (who arranged for the commissions on behalf of the guys’ many fans) and she presented them during the Newcastle Pub’s Hallowe’en party on November 1.

I am pleased to say Crawdad and Willy were delighted with their paintings!  They have been hosting the Sunday Jam at Newcastle for over a decade now, and it’s the best, rocking-est Sunday “soul service” in Edmonton!  I am proud to be one of their many, many fans.
