I’ve been working on commissions over the past several weeks, and decided to take a break. Started something new: a larger format (22″ x 30″ sanded pastel paper) with an alcohol wash underpainting. The paper is eating up my pastels but having so much fun with the larger format – and it’s been a long time since I used a brush to push pigment around on paper (that was fun). It will take a while to finish, as I have to get back to the commissions, but I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out! Here’s the charcoal sketch and alcohol-wash underpainting.
